    Colony Capital is seeking a VP of Corporate Communications & Marketing to report to our COO in LA. The incumbent will develop, execute, and oversee all strategic marketing and internal/external communication initiatives including: liaising with PR Consultant, providing sales/investment support, collateral development, brand management (CLNY's LinkedIn, Twitter, Glassdoor, etc.), internal corporate communications, online marketing including websites and videos, marketing campaigns, and directing the day-to-day activities of the marketing team of 5.


    • Manage, develop, and execute all strategic marketing initiatives including website management, social media management, online marketing and brand awareness, etc.
    • Serve as CLNY's internal expert on media relations, providing advice and media relations support to external PR Consultants
    • Lead strategic communications initiatives that incorporate traditional and digital communications channels and platforms
    • Provide thoughtful strategic counsel and public/media relations advice to senior executives at client organizations and within CLNY
    • Be a critical part of new business development efforts, particularly for investment materials
    • Liaise inter-departmentally with various teams/levels related to marketing and corporate communications initiatives including: Compliance, HR, Talent Acquisition, etc.


    • 12-15 years of experience as an internal and external corporate communications and marketing expert 
    • Experience in a mid-sized firm of at least 400 employees is required
    • Strategic marketing leader highly experienced with: (including but not limited to) brand management, social media, and investment materials
    • Background in a publicly traded firm and experience handling press/reporters and developing marketing/communication strategies that comply with both legal and compliance regulations is mandatory
    • Experience in financial services industry is highly preferable
    • Outstanding communication skills and ability to lead a team under tight deadlines
    • Experience interfacing with or as an external PR consultant
    • Experience managing a team of 3+ for at least 5 years is required
