    Colony Capital is seeking a Tax Senior to assist with investments, GP and corporate tax compliance, reply to IRS or State notices, maintain tax records and help with other special projects as needed. 

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with outside tax consultants to provide financial data for tax return preparation and tax projections
    • Process tax payments
    • Manage tax return due dates and coordinate signature of tax returns
    • Assist with review of Schedule K-1s for distribution to outside investors
    • Set-up new entities/dissolve entities
    • Assist with CA nonresident withholding tax
    • Prepare Tax JES for certain entities
    • Respond to tax notices
    • Prepare annual property tax statements and business licenses
    • Manage tax billings for approval and payment
    • Assist with special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years work experience in a public accounting firm or corporate accounting environment
    • 4-year degree in Accounting, CPA license is a plus
    • Ability prioritize and to multi-task in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
    • Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
    • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
