    Colony Capital is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and fast-paced Executive Assistant to support our MD of Investments in Los Angeles.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare high level correspondence, memos, policies and reports
    • Proofread and ensure accuracy, proper form, syntax, grammar and appearance of all typed materials
    • Photocopy correspondence, memos and reports
    • Initiate and receive telephone calls.  Screen calls by forwarding them or taking messages, as appropriate
    • Manage and maintain files and control lists to ensure efficient accessibility/usage and confidentiality
    • Prepare outgoing mail for distribution through various mailing systems (e.g., inter-office, Federal Express, US Post Office, certified mail, etc.)
    • Scan and file documents electronically
    • Interface with Investment Management, Portfolio Management, and Accounting teams
    • Work independently and within a team on special non-recurring and ongoing projects.
    • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion
    • Engage with business objectives and conduct research as needed
    • Compile Reports
    • Handle all Domestic and International Travel bookings for Executive
    • Organize team events, socials, offsite meetings, etc.
    • Provide backup support to other administrative staff as needed
    • Manage an often-changing daily calendar; coordinate agendas, and all arrangements for meetings including preparing documents and presentations

    Qualifications

    • Business Degree with emphasis in finance or legal studies is preferred
    • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
    • A self-motivated individual, who is solution-oriented, can work independently with a strong initiative, and seamlessly handle multiple tasks/special projects within specified deadlines
    • Critical thinker who can exercise good judgment in identifying problems, discrepancies and concerns
    • High attention to detail an absolute must
    • Outstanding ability to learn new skills quickly
    • Ability to conduct research utilizing various resources, including sources out of state
    • Impeccable work ethic and initiative and willingness to follow instructions and learn new concepts
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite with emphasis in Excel, Word and Outlook.
    • Superior communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken), ability to communicate with various levels both internal and external
